ELIGIBILITY AND CRITERIA

  • Attendance at a high school located in Atlantic County; must be graduating senior in year of award

  • Participation in the Atlantic County Mock Trial Competition

  • Criteria considered: Demonstrated balance between the spirit of advocacy, collegiality and professionalism during the mock trial competition; exhibition of integrity, academic achievement, and commitment to school or community; financial need, hardship, or adversity

  • Number of awards and amounts vary year to year based on fundraising and number of applicants - minimum award this year will be $2500 and we'll award up to $10,000!

  • More than $50,000 have been awarded since 2017!

Award notifications mid-May

  • Send via email with the following attachments:

    • A cover letter which describes in 500 words or less the impact of the mock trial competition on you personally or academically;

    • two letters of recommendation from teachers or advisors who can attest to the of the applicant's character and achievements;

    • a copy of the applicant’s most recent high school transcript;

    • a listing of any community or extracurricular activities in which the applicant has been an active participant during high school – include date/year ranges and roles/responsibilities for these commitments;

    • statement of financial need or adversity/hardships faced (optional)
